LONDON: Altab Ali was a Bengali clothing worker who was murdered in a racist attack on 4th May 1978. The murder of Altab Ali united East End against racism & fascism and defeated the then National Front (NF) and their thugs from our Streets. We now face new threats from the BNP, EDL and institutionalised racism. This is why we need to remain united and defeat the evil forces of racism, fascism & extremism. A rally will take place to mark the 34th anniversary of his death.
